Round 1: Cheats, Tips, and Glitches

CHEAT: Here is a shot of the hacks I have in my game. The elixir is a lot timer. I set it up on both base lots to keep track of how long I've played the challenge. One of the yellow boxes is macrostatics, a major hack for the sims. It allows me to build relationships with other sims with one click instead of repeated clicking on interactions. I'm sure this hack will ward off carpal tunnel problems from excessive clicking. It also has the ability to clean, repair, do homework, and I think skill building. I mostly use it for relationships and tend to forget about the other. The other yellow box is lot debugger. It helps to clear off stuck kicky bags more than anything else Also clears off stuck bills and fixes AWOL headmaster. I think the stack of phone books is used for uni. I use it to give my sims cellphones instead of juggling them around or going to community lot just to buy one. I wish those were in the buy mode. Although this hack, takes care of the long load time just to get the one item. Next is the teleporter shrub. I've not used it for this challenge but may. Then the baby statue is the sim mooder. I use it to give my sims more want locks. I normally, don't give them more want spots. When I do that I get confused who went to uni and who didn't. The last is tombstone of L and D. I use that to check if a sim is pregnant, if I don't have sound on and didn't check by attempting to try for baby. I also have risky woohoo and the love water bed. So far, the water bed isn't in any of the houses. I'm sure it will be at some point.
TIP: The sim on the floor is pregnant. She was so tired she wasn't able to make it to bed. She is also hungry. Her hunger level is dropping and needs attention. I wake her up and send her to make some juice. She should finish the drink before complaining about her fatigue. It doesn't matter what juice, any of them will fill up her hunger. At this point, pepper punch is ideal. That would give her a boost in energy plus help her hunger. The quickest juice to make is fishing boot juice (can't recall its true name). Fish for a little while and your almost sure to catch a boot. The boot goes into the juicer. I like to use the juicer for any sim whose hunger is low to the point they fall asleep in their food or get up from the table to complain they are tired.
CHEAT: If you have "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" turned on, you can shift+click on the juice machine. Click "add fruit". You get a pop up that asks you if you want to add fruit. I click yes. This fills up the juicer without growing or buying the product. At this point, in the challenge, I'm doing this for both family lines. I know I can grow the veggies and fruit, just don't care to mess with it just now. I may challenge myself to only grow it later in the challenge. If I didn't use this cheat, I'd go to a OFB lot and just buy the produce.

TIP: For a long challenge like this, I usually store up a pile of smart milk. Smart milk keeps forever. I'll get a sim in plat., buy as many smart milk containers as I can, process them, then pile the milk in an area of the house. In this pile, the bottles are going all sorts of ways. You can turn them all in the same direction to make it look like one strong glowing bottle.

TIP: Help with homework. This is a skill I usually didn't bother with. Once a child has been taught how to do homework, they are able to finish their home work quicker. If I have a house with several kids, I usually have one do most or all of the homework. Rarely do all kids come home from school ready to do their lessons. Some need a nap or work on fun before they are in a good enough mood. If I have a teen in the house, that is usually the sim that will do all the school work for the others.

GLITCH: I've seen the weird arm thing happen a few times. Sometimes with the "back rub" interaction. In this shot, the nanny was done with her shift. She happen to be holding a baby and was walking to the car with the infant. I've read there is a glitch that if this happens you could loser your baby. Thats an older glitch that I think was fixed. In case it wasn't, I entered "moveobjects on" and took the baby from the nanny arms and placed it on the ground. The sim is doing an "inspector gadget" move to pick up the infant laying on the ground in the front yard.
That ends my Tips, Glitches, and Cheats for week one.
